Our Visit with Jordan

Well, our visit today was not well-timed. Apparently it was vaccination day this morning, and then we got to the orphanage at Jordan's nap-time. Screams!! We got almost nothing but screams. At one point, she took time to look at our photos from last visit on the viewscreen of our camera. It triggered her memory enough to lean over for a few kisses, but the screams soon returned. To top it off, the social worker came today because she wanted to see our interaction with her. She was very understanding, though. Everything will be fine.

It's hard to say how much our 3-month absence set us back because of the circumstances of the day, but I do believe we are in for a rough 2-3 days once we pick her up. We are up for it, though. She's worth it. I don't think she wil be one to voluntarily go to others for a while, though, if ever. It will be interesting to get her out of her environment, and see who she becomes.

Our day is over for now. We will try to go meet our friend, Chris, for dinner tonight. Court is tomorrow afternoon. I'll keep you posted.

I am so sorry she was a crying baby girl, but in times like this we have to remember who is in control - GOD. He knew she would be crying and you guys would be trying everything to get her to stop. We will continue to pray for you as you head to court. Can one of you stay for 10 days and love on her!!! It breaks my heart. If you can post a picture after court - we would love that, if not. We will be waiting.......

We will keep you in our prayers. Brack says to remember the rules and that Jordan could have had the chicken pox. (We are still trying to figure our if it was actually scabies!) Jordan is sure to thrive in the loving environment you will provide for her. Wish we were there with you!
